Phat Kat & DJ Dister 'The S.O.S. Project' (Album Stream)

Detroit’s Phat Kat joins forces with Berlin’s DJ/producer DJ Dister to release 'The S.O.S. Project.' Phat Kat explains the project saying: "We titled the song (and album) S.O.S. (So Old School) because it embodies everything that we’re about. Some people have a problem with being labeled ‘old school’ but I’m totally fine with it because the era I’m from was, and still is, big on morals and integrity." The title track is hard and came with visuals you can see HERE, but it’s the full-length album you need to support via Below System Records. The label adds: "Standing for “So Old School” Dister’s soulful but dusty-break laden beats (which defined the J Dilla/Slum Village era) provides the perfect backdrop for Kat’s fiery 90’s honed flow. Speaking on how they linked up, Dister said “we initially recorded a track called “Rappin Ass Rapper’s” on my album Consistent Knockouts (2015). The vibe was so dope that we decided to do a whole project together.” Check the LP out below...
