'Bird's Eye View' was on Statik Selektah's 2013 production album, 'Extended Play' - it features Raekwon, Joey Bada$$ and Black Thought. Exhale ... ALL eMCees came with solid verses, but Black Thought stole the show on the 3rd verse. Knowing Statik, he knew he had one immediately, and it easily ended up being my favorite track of the whole year, beating out my other favorite track, 'Chum' by Earl Sweatshirt. Statik Selektah has put out consistent production albums since around '07 - that's a long run, but he's been active in hip-hop for much longer than that. We've had some fun BBQs over the years and he's someone I'm really glad to see winning because he's a student of the game and put in his 10,000 hours, some of which I've seen firsthand!
