With the global, breakthrough success of D-Nice during COVID, I thought I'd share a throwback mix he did in 2008 for the movie soundtrack to The Wackness, which I happened to rewatch recently. Released as promo through Jive Records, D-Nice took us on a mini-trip through the 90s, including the movie's tracks from A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, The Notorious B.I.G., KRS-One, Black Moon, O.C., Craig Mack, Group Home, Biz Markie, Nas, and more. The soundtrack from the Sundance submission of the movie differs from the final edit, with several tracks either being shifted, replaced, or cut out of some scenes possibly due to issues of licensing, but the movie did include some incredible joints.
