CRIMEAPPLE & Big Ghost Ltd "Bazuko" (Album Stream)

When CRIMEAPPLE and Big Ghost Ltd first linked up on their "Aguardiente" collaboration in 2016, the two came to shake the game up. The iconic Antioqueño bottle left a mark in underground hip-hop that still stands strong to this day, and to follow up they cooked up the deadliest material to do that once again with "Bazuko". Named after the deadliest and most addictive street drug in Colombia, basuco, the album embodies the raw, uncut and unfiltered essence of their artistic process, much like the gritty remnants of cocaine paste. CRIMEAPPLE's razor-sharp lyricism cuts through Big Ghost Ltd's masterful, hard-hitting beats, creating a visceral, addictive and immersive soundscape. With "Bazuko," the two aren't just following up on "Aguardiente"; they're raising the stakes, delivering a project that is as potent and unforgettable as its namesake. Listen to it below...

Che Noir & Big Ghost Ltd. "Noir or Never" (Album Stream)

Noir or Never is a collaborative album between Che Noir and producer Big Ghost Ltd. All instrumentation on the project is handled by Hector Puente Colon Jr and the Santiago Men's Basketball Philharmonic Orchestra. Big Ghost shares, "Che has been out here showin n' provin for more than a minute... leavin' mics torn on guest features to radio freestyles to full projects. Whether its pure lyricism or introspective thought provoking bars or that street shit… Che got all the bases covered. But that don’t mean she gotta go dolo…so she brought along some friends to take part. By “friends” I mean some the most elite pens in the business. No gimmicks, no smoke n' mirrors, no ghost writers… just that pure authentic rap shit." Friends like Flee Lord, Planet Asia, Skyzoo, Ransom, 38 Spesh and more. Don't sleep and celebrate Big Ghost's genius in the archives.

Knowledge the Pirate "Wolves Don't Eat With Shepherd's"

If I have the opportunity, I'll always just let Big Ghost tell it, so... "I tried to tell y'all this year was bout to be different. I first heard Pirate on some my favorite Roc Marciano records… I already knew son was nice. But when I heard his debut album Flintlock… I was blown away by how full and how cohesive the project was. This was still in the earlier part of the current underground rap renaissance we been in the midst of for the last while now. At that time…within this wave it was only a few artists droppin' ALBUM albums. It was still mostly EPs/mixtape type joints or less refined examples of what you might call “albums”…but what [they] did on that was produce a masterpiece. That might really be my favorite album of 2018 that I wasn't part of. Knowledge dropped 3 more impeccably crafted pieces of art since then.. But Flintlock was still the one I appreciated the most. Until this album was completed. This ain't to say that I feel it exceeds or is better than anything my brother Knowledge did before…but this is a continuation of his legacy. It's actually something we started working on in early 2019 n took our time in piecing together thru many conversations while overcoming personal hardships n losses. There is a soul to this album. We hope that soul speaks to you. I would say it was cooked to perfection but wolves don't cook what they kill. So we gon serve this plate to you raw..." That said, listen to their collaborative LP below...

Conway the Machine & Big Ghost Ltd "What Has Been Blessed..."

Conway The Machine is coming through with non-stop heat this year. The Griselda rapper is already three projects deep into 2022, including the release of his last effort, Organized Grime 2. However, he's back again alongside Big Ghost LTD for their latest collaborative effort, What Has Been Blessed Cannot Be Cursed. The 12-song project continues to strengthen their rapport with one another while enlisting many familiar faces from the Drumwork Music Group Imprint. Additionally, Conway and Big Ghost call on Method Man for an immediate highlight of the project, "Scared II Death." Conway The Machine already dropped off Greetings Earthlings (which I missed entirely, just being 100% honest) earlier this year before unveiling his Shady debut, God Don't Make Mistakes. - HotNewHipHop. Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine have both done some really dope work over fine beats by Big Ghost Ltd. Dig into the archives for more of their previous work together...

Happy Born Day, Sean P! (Words by BigGhostLtd)

When you can't find the right words, look to the homie, BigGhostLtd: "I dont mean for this to be like one of them “back in the good ol days…” type write-ups…I promise. But it might be. We can talk talent or money or industry plants or whatever else. But if you could pinpoint the root cause of what prevents shit from becoming a shit show…it would come down to some very synonymous things... rules, guidelines, boundaries, GATES. What makes the gates even more effective is GATE-KEEPERS. See record labels and businesses PERIOD gon' do record label shit. And if the labels do it right the masses gon' eat all that trash up regardless. It's how we ended up having Vanilla Ice n em. But Vanilla Ice was never embraced by or propped up by the culture. Had KRS-One or Chuck D or Ice Cube or any other respectable artist at the time welcomed him n certified him as a legitimate artist it might be a different story. YES the Vanilla one was able to get a hit off n sell a quick 10 mil but he wasn't able to sustain a career in the game or continue to make a living off a culture he disrespected in every way possible. These days all you need is a pulse and a poppin TikTok dance.. or a cool 3 minutes to do some due diligence on one of the infinite alternative avenues of pure f#ckery at your disposal to catch a hit. The thing is when you no longer need to struggle or overcome anything… or actually possess any hunger or talent… you get the talentless weirdos runnin' shit n gentrification rap we see making a mockery of the culture so often today. When the man born Sean Duval Price was still roaming the earth n making life hell for the lesser gifted… not raking in platinum plaques n stacking millions... being broke but still somehow a fly ass living legend n considered one of the greatest MCs to ever breathe.. he wasn't biting his tongue or kissing ass to jump on songs with the biggest superstars. He wasn't afraid to make it uncomfortable for MFs. I don't think any other rapper ever took time to shit on another rapper just cuz his name happened to rhyme with whatever he happened to be rhyming in the line before it. Very few rappers inspired me as a writer. The obvious one would be Ghostface. But the one who inspired the content was the almighty Sean P." Sean Price would have turned 50 years old today! R.I.P to the late great, Sean P!

Eddie Kaine & Big Ghost "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" (Album Stream)

Words by Big Ghost Ltd, as usual: "In the midst of this renaissance we been witnessing in the underground…as beautiful n raw as the output has been…we also started to see a lot of cookie cutter nonsense take place. Seems like we got more rappers n producers than listeners n supporters sometimes. You cant stop art tho. Creators gon create. That being said…yall MFs cant ALL be Westside Gunn or Conway. Yall cant all be Mach Hommy or Roc Marci... Yall beatmakers cant all be Alchemist.. Yall designers cant all be CEP. So on n so on... Not referring to the hierarchy that exists in all cultures or subculture…I’m sayin stop tryna duplicate the end results of what somebody else created by mimicking everything THEY DO. What you should do is pay attention to the process of what THEY DID. Which was found a lane n did what THEY did best. If some youngbuck asks me why 80s artists get held in the reverence they get held in.. or why 90s rappers get to be considered some type of rap gods while in this generation it seems like “dope” is the highest accolade obtainable for the average young artist… I say it’s uniqueness. Thats how Griselda n Mach n Roc etc ascended past “dope”.. What it comes down to is filling a void. A Tribe Called Quest wasnt tryna be Public Enemy. Nas wasnt tryna be Snoop..n vice versa. Thats where Eddie Kaine comes in. Not tryna rap like nobody or sound like nobody or rap about what they rap bout. Still street. But 1000% just him. For somebody like Kaino a backdrop was needed that could be considered familiar…yet unique n raw in its own way too. I like to think it was achieved on this project. But we leave it to the listener to decide. Available at midnight exclusively at the link in the bio. A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. Peace x blessings." Well said. Now, celebrate Big Ghost's latest album contribution below...

The LOX vs. Dipset (Verzuz Battle, 8/3/21)

The LOX and Dipset took the stage at Madison Square Garden for a one night only Verzuz battle last night.... the outcome was absolute destruction. In the words of famed producer and wordsmith, Big Ghost Ltd... "I aint seen carnage like that since the movie Apocalypto. I cant remember.. but I think at one point Jada n Styles held Juelz over a pit of fire n disemboweled him to appease the Timberland gods while Cam n Jim watched helplessly.. Then Kiss rhymed over “Who Shot Ya” n Freekey Zekey just erupted into flames.. shit is a blur now. I went into this thinking its no way L-O-X would be able to out anthem my guys. But I knew shit was going sideways when the Set got lost on the way to the stage n gave Kiss a cool 5 mins to let off half a clip of jokes before the Diplomats DJ got his iPod Nano to successfully play “Bigger Picture” for em to walk out to. How yall down by 6 before the game start tho? Lox set the tone for the night early by going right into “F-ck You”…n it was all downhill from there. I know nobody in that room or anywhere else needed a whole ass Jim Jones/Purple City medley but TRUTHFULLY song selection was only part of the problem for them Harlem boys. The lack of cohesion n focus buried em. Didnt help that Lox had infinitely better stage presence, knew all they own lyrics, n could go into any chamber needed to respond (Damn Juelz…why you had to tell em they had no songs for the ladies smh). By the time Kiss used “Money, Power, & Respect” as a snippet transition to “By Your Side”.. they had already been poppin wheelies for the last 15 laps of the race. The biggest detriment to the Dips other than being outperformed was The Lox brought a real DJ who had actual timing, knew when to drop the beat, n understood the nuances of his craft. The Dips had Hell Rell or somebody using the edjing app on his phone. I stopped keeping score by the 5th round but if we went off pure energy it was something like 9 million - 3.5 for The Lox. S/o the Dips for being good sports tho..cuz I counted at least 8 moments where it probably took the willpower of a thousand Shaolin monks to not reach for a burner. Salute to both squads tho!" Dig into the 2-hour video below, which I hope remains online...

Props to the homie Shake of 2DopeBoyz, who is not only responsible for the dope artwork up above, but also put together a playlist of the tracks covered in the battle. While it does little to show the true destruction that was delivered, it's a nice complement to the video up above. You can't argue that both don't have impeccable catalogs - and, on paper - the anthems from Dipset kept them in the conversation, but they couldn't hold back the true performance and personality of Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch. Jadakiss is the official MVP of the whole shit. Enjoy all the memes out there! And riddle me this... how many hats, bandanas and durags did Juelz Santana have on? Why'd they keep bringin' up SOBs... shoulda came prepared. Don't rhyme over your vocals! Facts...

Ransom & Big Ghost Ltd. "Heavy Is The Head" (Album Stream)

Keeping history in tact, I always attempt to share new releases in the artists' own words, so their perspective is preserved with the music. Unfortunately, most artists aren't nearly as eloquent with the pen as the Godly Big Ghost Ltd, who produced this brand new album for Ransom entitled, Heavy Is The Head. He shares, "Some MFs rap...n by “some” I mean damn near 1/3 of the population on earth... Some do it well n some create sonic bowel movements every time they step in a booth. Some got talent n some got literally none at all...maybe even less. Some talented MFs try to dumb it down to appeal to a wider audience n chase fame. Some stick to what they do best n quietly cultivate a devoted fanbase while gaining the utmost respect of not only peers but of any so-called competition as well. This dude Ransom aka Ransom The Destroyer falls into that last category. The list of living breathing rappers on the planet who can match his pen game is bout as short as Tory Lanez doing the splits. This is elite level rhymin.. no throwaway bars or filler shit. The words really really rhyme... But CONCEPTUALLY this shit different too. How many street cats really get cinematic on wax....in 2021? We bringin creativity n imagination back... Yall gotta stop actin like nobody else pop 20 bottles in a club n back down a whole room full of killers dolo while movin 500 bricks the same night on records.. Yea you got cribs on Mt Fuji n Sinaloa cartel is your peoples but what else you bring to the table my G? Yall studio drug kingpins more Bambaataa than Zambada.. Just stick to hip hop." The album features Mickey Factz, RJ Payne, Rome Streetz, Vinnie Paz, Ill Bill and more. Dig in…

Big Ghost Ltd. & Conway The Machine "If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed"

Big Ghost and Conway the Machine are back with their latest full-length offering, If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed. In keeping with tradition, I'll let the fly and wonderful Big Ghost tell it himself, "This album marks the 2nd solo collab n the 3rd collab overall w somebody I personally consider to be the illest rapper alive.. I first caught wind of who Conway was off the strength of that 2014/15 run that the earlier incarnation of Griselda was on. Westside Gunn, Conway, Daringer, Camoflauge Monk, Melectricity.. This was the family I was introduced to at that time.. n they all sent me A LOT of dope music to peep. I told the story before.. but this is what got the wheels turning in my head n made me wanna step out my comfort zone n switch gears from writing reviews ABOUT music to being on the creative side of it.... This is the shit we all aspire to achieve. It dont come easy.. Gang Starr made a whole ass album in 1994 bout that shit. But thats what makes the shit worth doin. THANK YOU to everybody who has shown support n to everybody who continues to support..." Dig into it...

Big Ghost Ltd. "The Unofficial Official Tape"

This right here is an epic collaboration! Big Ghost Ltd and Soles of Mischief have joined forces to release this collection of loosies, remixes, original incarnations of familiar Big Ghost Ltd joints, unauthorized joints, lost goodies, scrapped ideas, snippets, and all types of fun shit assembled by the legendary Soles of Mischief. If you're here for the music, they got you! If you were looking for some of the most down-to-every-last-detail style of packaging: cassettes, CDs, trading cards, magazine and more, then well... they had you, but you slept, because they're all sold out now! Fortunately, the infamous Hands of Zeus was kind enough to bless you with the audio from what was originally a physical-only offering. Thank that man in his infinite wisdom and generosity. Soles of Mischief is easily one of the most creative cats I've met in this digital space and Big Ghost has pushed the envelope and advanced the culture in music and with the pen for years now. The Unofficial Official Tape also has guest appearances from Guilty Simpson, Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, Crimeapple, Willie The Kid, Hus Kingpin, Vic Spencer, Ankhlejohn, Ghostface Killah, Sheek Louch, Recognize Ali, DJ Grouch, Lukey Cage, Chris Crack, SmooVth, Milano Constantine, DJ Q-Bert, Giallo Point and more. Big Ghost Ltd x UFO Fev "The Ghost of Albizu" (Album Stream)

I can't resist, I gotta let the homie, Big Ghost, say it in his own words (again): "Yall already kno I don’t like to “sell” shit or “convince” mfs to support.. What we do over here is “present” n “offer”... or more accurately “bless” mfs witta opportunity to be a part of some shit that can truly have a monumental impact on how they navigate thru the turmoil n the chaos of this thing we call life... PARTICULARLY in what can only accurately be described as possibly the most trash year of this entire century/millenium so far. So while we most likely gon look back on this period of time in human history as some real hot garbage years that happened to reach its absolute f#ckery zenith in the year 2020 (God willin)...hopefully we can look back n say AT LEAST SOME FIRE DROPPED THAT YEAR. That brings us to the album at hand nahmean. Thats right I said ALBUM.. not mixtape or project or “tape”...This shit is a true ALBUM album. Every song serves a separate purpose n the shit still all clicks together like Duplo blocks. I aint gon hype shit too much but its basically like the Puerto Rican Thriller or Purple Rain. So dont sleep. Produced by Big Ghost Ltd. All songs written & performed by the Big UFO. All zigga ziggas performed by the illustrious DJ Grouch. All instrumentation by the infamous Hector Puente Colon Jr & The Santiago Men’s Basketball Philharmonic Orchestra. Vinyl is on the way!" - Big Ghost. Big fan of both of these artists. Listen...

K.A.A.N. & Big Ghost Ltd "All Praise Is Due" (Album Stream)

As always, from the words of Big Ghost Ltd himself, "SURPRISE! Ayo listen... If you dont see the Hands of Zeus on social media everyday posting bout favorite albums or taking part in challenges or sharing Will n Jada memes or hypothesizing on who shot Meg Thee Stallion in both feet in a car that only had her n Tory Lanez in it... its probably cuz some shit is in the works... most likely in plural form. But whenever a new project drops mfs tend to assume it was some shit that jus came together in a couple weeks or months. I mean yea sometimes thats the case.. But more times than not it was a discussion that took place a long time before anything popped off. This particular project? Maaaan... I remember I had hit K.A.A.N. on New Years Day 2017... Thats when we first agreed to do a project together. Matter fact the first incarnation of the album was done a few months later. But different circumstances kept setting things back. Eventually everything got recooked n re-recorded. The result is something unlike any other Big Ghost Ltd project ever. What yall are getting is something that we took our time to build.. something Hector Puente Colon Jr & The Santiago Men’s Basketball Philharmonic Orchestra poured they entire hearts n souls into. This is a spiritual journey... but not on some weirdo shit. No features. No skits or interludes. We went someplace else widdit. ALL PRAISE IS DUE. If you ain’t familiar wit K.A.A.N...you been sleepin'. Album is available on all streaming platforms, vinyl is coming soon." Much respect to Big Ghost, listen below...

M.A.V. & Rob Gates "Dark Side Of Nature" (Album Stream)

Like we always do about this time... I'll let Big Ghost speak, "Proud to announce the release of the latest addition to the Big Ghost Ltd Certified discography. I dont wanna sell this shit too tough since I like to let the work speak for itself BUT if you happen to be sleepin on M.A.V. x Rob Gates let this latest collabo btwn the Big Ghost Ltd x Da Cloth brands be another testament to the fact that this crew outta Rochester might really be the best kept secret in the game. After the The Only Way Out project that dropped late 2019 n after Rigz x Mooch also featured heavy on the Carpe Noctem project at the top of 2020...it only made sense to link up wit the head of the Voltron.. a methodical thinker n somebody who can go toe to toe wit damn near any pen in the industry. Lotta yall been sleepin on Mav.. But he aint the only one yall been snoozin on.. In the tradition of dynamic duos who gotta particularly natural chemistry n also sound like polar opposites at the same time (something that was also present on Griselda Ghost by Westside Gunn x Conway as well as on The Only Way Out) it only made sense to have the wildest member of the crew ride shotgun on this album. Somebody to strip you for ya valuables while Mav stares into your chest to assess what type of heart you got. This shit is like science... Hope yall appreciate the results. Tap in." - Big Ghost Ltd. Big Ghost Ltd & Widowmaker "An Open Tomb..." (Instrumental LP)

Golden Analogue presents the instrumental motion picture "An Open Tomb... An Empty Casket" with production from Big Ghost Ltd and Widowmaker. The LP includes a total of 27 cinematic instrumentals: 16 from Big Ghost Ltd and 11 from Widowmaker. The album is available digitally, as well as on 180g vinyl. While Big Ghost argues that: "First off there really aint no “improper” way to listen to a damn record fam. If sound emerges from the speakers without destroying the vinyl...you basically have succeeded at listening to the record.... 1) if you aint tryna be Grandmaster Flash you can spin your shits on ya little Crosley joints or whatever n 2) if you aint no audiophile wizard you might not be able to tell the difference in sound from some other bullshit pressings anyways." "BUT," he adds, "it dont hurt to own a better turntable n purchase superior audiophile quality vinyl. In other words I recommend you cop this shit right here... n behold the sonic flawlessness of this recording." It's been another big year for Big Ghost Ltd, much respect to him. Enjoy the LP below...

Big Ghost Ltd. & Conway "No One Mourns The Wicked"

The brand new collaborative LP from Big Ghost Ltd. and Conway the Machine, No One Mourns The Wicked. Big Ghost shared this message ahead of its release: "Most y'all already know the story... But for those that don't... 2015 was the year that Griselda Ghost dropped.. which was a Hall x Nash project by Westside Gunn x Conway, produced by Big Ghost Ltd... This is pre-Reject 2 and pre-FlyGod... If I told you I knew all along just how far these brothers would go n how much Griselda would go on to influence the culture as far as music n fashion n overall aesthetics... I would be lying. Cuz the world I know does not reward too many mfs for sticking to what they do best... it rewards the ones who conform n play by the rules. Hip Hop came from the streets. It came from a rebellious mindset that rejected conformity. It was bout making something outta nothing... Artists from the mud used subway trains as art galleries... kids used cardboard boxes to perfect windmills n backspins... Cats repurposed old records to create new music... This is the culture. Somewhere along the way Hip Hop became corporate n is now a globally dominant phenomenon that influences practically everything. Shit is competitive. To be able to stick to how you came in the door n not compromise your art at all... n still flourish... That right there is a real anomaly. Thats a glitch in the matrix. But this is how it should be. We don't need to try to appeal to the masses by doing what the masses want. We don't need to play by industry rules n let outta touch parasites choose how we create our art. Anyways y'all get ready for another masterpiece." That masterpiece is out now, No One Mourns The Wicked. Listen below and cop the album on vinyl, digital and/or CD...

Big Ghost Ltd. "Carpe Noctem" (Album Stream)

In Big Ghost's own words, as is usually best: "Early 2018 I had this crazy idea to pull some the illest underground mfs together to combine forces on some reverse Wu Tang shit n bomb atomically all over some hot fire bangers n create a mutually prosperous opportunity for all involved to flourish mightily.. This was maybe round March.. I aint wanna get into the whys or hows too much but lets jus say that it wasnt some shit that jus came together overnight. Couple roster modifications n 600+ days later.. the moment has now arrived to share the 10th official Big Ghost Ltd project (not including no remix shits)... TENTH. I wanna salute everybody who contributed to the creation of this masterpiece. I aint even gon say nothin else bout the album itself.. but lemme jus say this.. To paraphrase the classic Group Home joint...2019 was yours...2020 is mine. Its only January yo. We 10 days in. This is still only the beginning but.. YOU GOTTA CREW YOU BETTER TELL EM!" Rigz & Mooch "The Only Way Out" (Album Stream)

Big Ghost Ltd drops off his latest, and shares that "This aint no album yo the shit is a movie. You hear bum ass rappers call the bum ass shit they do "a movie" all the time but this aint that. This shit is cinematic FORREAL.. Reality told from two shared perspectives in a semi chronological way without no sugar sprinkled on top. In the first half you get the glorification of the streets. In the second half you get the less glamorous n enticing side of the coin following the same timeline. The realities of both presented without filters. Gritty. Grimy. Brutal. Violent. Merciless... And sometimes heartfelt. Just in time for the Holiday Season!" Dig into Rigz & Mooch's The Only Way Out below...

38 Spesh x Big Ghost Ltd "A Bullet For Every Heathen" (Stream)

Big Ghost Ltd. aka The Mighty Hands of Zeus went from an outspoken music critic writing for respected blogs to being one of the most consistent Hip-Hop producers of the last 3 years. 38 Spesh has been grinding in the game for more than a decade, but it’s the collab albums he’s dropped in the last three years that have made him one of the most buzzing emcees in this new era of hardcore Hip-Hop. So, with both artists having similar trajectories and an affinity for collaboration, it was only a matter of time before they linked for something monumental. The two have put together an offering titled "A Bullet For Every Heathen" that has all the trappings of a classic: a rich, cohesive sound, evocative rhymes…and Lukey Cage talking his shit. There’s even contributions from the UK’s finest as SonnyJim co-produces “Master Your High,” and Giallo Point does the scratches on “Black Moses” and “Extendos.” And, of course, the guest line-up is largely Spesh’s Trust Comes First family, which includes The Queen of Upstate, Che Noir, hook specialist Klass Murda, and lyrical pugilist Black Geez. The only other features are extended fam from Rochester, Eto and Street Justice. Listen below and look out for more from 38 Spesh and Big Ghost real soon.

D. Brash & Big Ghost Ltd "Chicaghost" (Album Stream)

"You might be wondering WHO THE F#CK IS D BRASH? forreal.. But then again a lot of y'all wondered the exact same thing bout a lot of other cats I may have helped introduce to ya little iTunes playlists or helped bring some shine to in general nahmean.. I aint here to try to leech off of a buzz somebody already got happening on they own... I dont struggle n strive to get some major placements on some big name artist projects neither... I dont network or rub elbows or pitch ideas or none of that industry savvy shit. I dont got no 5 year plan or a dream board... I peeped The Secret n flipped thru The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People once maybe but if Im keepin it a red 100 emoji wit yall... I just think the way irresponsible yet creatively inspired people do most times. Most truly artistic mfs dont really got the best handle on shit like “schedules” or “deadlines” or “obligations” cuz we operate on different algorithms from the rest of society... At the end of the day mfs just wanna create shit n share it wit the world. Some gon dig it n some won’t.. But we continue to create either way." - Big Ghost Ltd. Dig into his latest offering, Chicaghost, below...
