Knowledge the Pirate "Wolves Don't Eat With Shepherd's"

If I have the opportunity, I'll always just let Big Ghost tell it, so... "I tried to tell y'all this year was bout to be different. I first heard Pirate on some my favorite Roc Marciano records… I already knew son was nice. But when I heard his debut album Flintlock… I was blown away by how full and how cohesive the project was. This was still in the earlier part of the current underground rap renaissance we been in the midst of for the last while now. At that time…within this wave it was only a few artists droppin' ALBUM albums. It was still mostly EPs/mixtape type joints or less refined examples of what you might call “albums”…but what [they] did on that was produce a masterpiece. That might really be my favorite album of 2018 that I wasn't part of. Knowledge dropped 3 more impeccably crafted pieces of art since then.. But Flintlock was still the one I appreciated the most. Until this album was completed. This ain't to say that I feel it exceeds or is better than anything my brother Knowledge did before…but this is a continuation of his legacy. It's actually something we started working on in early 2019 n took our time in piecing together thru many conversations while overcoming personal hardships n losses. There is a soul to this album. We hope that soul speaks to you. I would say it was cooked to perfection but wolves don't cook what they kill. So we gon serve this plate to you raw..." That said, listen to their collaborative LP below...

Knowledge The Pirate "Family Jewels" (Album Stream)

Knowledge The Pirate is back! Roc Marci’s righthand man has been quietly building another masterpiece and, as usual, he’s kept his circle small. The album is fully produced by Pirate’s regular collaborator E.l.e.m.n.t. and noted Italian producer Cuns. There are no features on this project because KTP felt the need to keep the spotlight firmly focused on himself this time around. The new LP is titled Family Jewels and is based on the Black Madonna and Jesus’ bloodline. Of course, the record is still that hardcore Street Hop fans have come to expect from Pirate, but it’s also a little deeper than that. The first leak from the album, “Oni Experience,” finds Knowledge utilizing a conversational flow to drop mad jewels about street life, while the second leak, “Red Beam,” is some genuine weight-moving music. Cop the vinyl from Tuff Kong Records out in Rome, Italy. Knowledge The Pirate "Black Cesar" (Album Stream)

After shaking the underground scene with his debut full-length "Flintlock" in 2018, Knowledge The Pirate, one of the most buzzing names in the scene, is back with his sophomore album "Black Cesar." The 15-track effort offers production by E.L.E.M.N.T., Roc Marciano, Don Cee and Knowledge The Pirate. It also features a verse from Roc Marciano, who played a big role in the success of Flintlock. I would've passed on this project off the artwork, but fortunately I've heard Knowledge's music and know better than to sleep on it. Dig into the LP below and cop the album on CD, Vinyl & Cassette...

Knowledge The Pirate "Flintlock" (Album Stream)

Knowledge The Pirate's name has been marauding the music industry since the 90's, always keeping a low profile but a strong street reputation. Throughout the years, despite several collaborations and a lot of attention towards him, he went on to distance himself from the music world to later resurface on several tracks with fellow East Coast legend Roc Marciano. After all these years, Knowledge is finally gracing us with his first official full-length entitled "Flintlock" which he releases on his own Treasure Chest imprint. This work of art does not disappoint people who've been long waiting for Knowledge to drop his first album, featuring productions by Elemnt, Mushroom Jesus as well as Roc Marciano, who also blesses one of his productions with a verse. The 15 tracks on this record sound as precious and gracious as a treasure chest hidden within the streets. Don't sleep...
