Apathy "Connecticut Casual: Chapter 2" (Album Stream)

Seasoned MC and producer, Apathy, delivers his 9th full length album as an integral piece of his impressive 25+ year career. Back in 2014, he blessed hip hop heads with "Connecticut Casual", one of his most personal and fan-favorite outings to date. Once again heavily inspired by his hometown surroundings and shore-life encounters, Ap brings to fruition the next chapter in the soundtrack to the New England way of life with this new-age sequel to the original "CT Casual". The majority of the project is painstakingly produced by newcomer beatsmith, Playa Haze, with additional production from Apathy himself, along with contributions from Alcapella, plus Little Vic on both the boards and the mic. Ap's longtime partner-in-rhyme, Celph Titled, appears as one of the few guest features blessing the LP. Sail along this ride through murky waters, mysterious folklore, brash talk, and experience the East Coast lifestyle through the eyes of a Demigod. Dig into the LP below...

Apathy "Where The River Meets The Sea" (Album Stream)

The trials and tribulations of real life tends to bring out the best in artists. Hearing the maturation of emcees in real time brings us closer to their experience, and reminds us of ours. Apathy is no exception to this rule. After losing his father to cancer, becoming a father of two, and dealing with life’s ills, he proves to be a skilled navigator on the river of life. Apathy's 7th studio album, "Where The River Meets The Sea", is not only a geographical nod to his origins, but also a metaphor for the long winding journey through life which ultimately leads to the cosmic sea of eternity. No stranger to hip hop aesthetics however, Ap can’t resist flexing his lyrical ability on braggadocio laden tracks, ensuring he delivers an album for his fans across the board. The LP features Styles P, Lil Fame, Snak The Ripper, Chris Webby, Pep Love, Tajai (of Souls of Mischief), ANoyd, Hayze, plus vocalists Brevi and Bennett. Production by Apathy, Stu Bangas & Teddy Roxpin. Listen to Apathy's latest LP below...

Nuttkase "Boombapathy" (Mixtape)

An interesting remix project from Russian producer, Nuttkase. Using vocals from some of your favorite Apathy records, "Boombapathy" has nine remixes with instrumentals, and five bonus cuts to round out the project. The Demigodz MC sounds at home over these hard drums and 90s flavor. Hearing Ap reminds me once again to say R.I.P. to our brother Pumpkinhead. Check it out below.

Apathy & O.C. "Perestroika" (Album Stream)

"Apathy (Demigodz, Army of the Pharaohs) and O.C. (D.I.T.C. - Diggin' In The Crates) combine forces to form 'Perestroika', a supergroup inspired by the cold war being waged on the rap industry. Anti-mainstream propaganda has become a bit of a cliche, so instead of speaking out against the unflattering direction that today's hip hop music has gone in, Apathy and O.C. have taken action by building a pillar in the ruins of what's left of true school hip hop. Picture the first time you heard Wu-Tang Clan's debut album "Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers" and were immediately swept up in to a dark Kung Fu movie, with the sound effects and painted visuals - "Perestroika" is intended to have the same effect... except it transports you to Cold War, Soviet Russia. From the Kremlin, to small villages affected by the economically devastating times of Perestroika, this album is a salute to the underdog and all those who are able to survive the coldest winters. Not entirely conceptual however, the album allows both wordsmiths to flex their greatest strengths over solid head-nodding East Coast-styled production. Showing up for the cause, guests Celph Titled, Slaine, Marvalyss, Kappa Gamma and Jus Cuz add to the palate alongside production that is mostly handled by Apathy, with MoSS and Illinformed (The Four Owls) contributing tracks as well. In a time of worldly political conflict and scandals, this project plays as the perfect soundtrack to the madness." - Apathy

Apathy "The Alien Tongue" (September 11, 2012)

After the much successful fanfare of Apathy's “Honkey Kong” full length from 2011, the Demigodz leader and Army of the Pharaohs soldier delivered a very special release. This album compiles some of Apathy's earliest demo recordings from as far back as 1994 up until 1998. Transferred from cassettes and ADAT studio tapes, these songs represent his early to late teen years, as well as Eternia's first recordings ever. “The Alien Tongue” is a title that takes you on a journey thru the 90's era of Apathy, fresh into his early association with Jedi Mind Tricks, as this was around the same time he was recording for their debut album, “The Psycho Social...” Also included are some of the first beats Ap ever produced, made on an old school Ensoniq ASR-10. This release gives fans a great insight into the mind of a young Apathy (and Eternia) as well as a spotlight on the beginnings of what would become a highly respected legacy. Eternia adds, "All we did was write, record, network & strategize... I was spittin’ long before I met him, but I always use the analogy that I moved to CT sounding like Salt-n-Pepa and left sounding like Pharoahe Monch... When I listen to this I am reminded of how far God has taken me!" The Alien Tongue was officially released on 9/11/12.

Nas x Apathy "Re:Generation" (Apathy Remix)

Apathy Nas DJ Premier Re:Generation

This is the official Apathy remix of the Nas and DJ Premier collaboration with The Berklee Symphony Orchestra called 'Regeneration.' It's not a common occurrence where I'd recommend anyone remix a joint originally produced by DJ Premier, but props to the talented producer/MC Apathy - out of Connecticut - for not only reworking the beat, but blessing it with a dope verse as well. Both versions came out back in 2012, but just in case you missed it, check it out below - it's also available via Apathy's Fire Walk with Me: It's the Bootleg, Muthafuckas! Volume 3 project (2012).

Sam The Sleezbag & DJ Mekalek '#SleezbagMekalekTape'

Sam The Sleezbag & DJ Mekalek team up to present their 3-disc set, "#SleezbagMekalekTape", showcasing some of hip hop's most respected artists from the East Coast. Spanning the first two discs is ninety minutes of exclusive freestyles and songs from the personal vault of Sam The Sleezbag -- all meticulously scratched, cut, mixed and blended in true mixtape form by DJ Mekalek. The third disc contains a 30-track bonus collection of unreleased joints and lost freestyles. The duo, consisting of New York based audio engineer/producer Sam The Sleezbag, and Rhode Island based DJ/producer DJ Mekalek, refuse to comply with modern day formats, and deliver nothing but the best quality music. Eternia "Keep U" (Prod. by Apathy)

"Sometimes the summer time brings back memories ..." Enter "Keep U," the new track from Eternia,  produced by Apathy of the Demigodz. Exclaim Magazine adds, “Taking stock of the music she has released over the years, Eternia certainly has a case to be ranked as one of Canada’s most consistent hip-hop lyricists. Critically acclaimed, she’s snagged two Juno noms and a Polaris long list selection for At Last, her collaboration with producer Moss in 2011. It’s been a while since she’s released anything new, but "Keep U” impressively breaks the silence on her hiatus…" Listen below...

Apathy "Handshakes With Snakes" (Album Stream)

Championing his fifth solo album in a consistent and longstanding career, Apathy delivers a plate served up with only the finest ingredients that you'd expect from a seasoned lyricist and producer. On this outing, Ap takes you through the perils of the current state of hip hop, corporate phonies and idiotic pop culture. Sprinkle in some trippy tales with vivid imagery plus the right amount of braggadocio verbiage, and the Demigodz frontman brings you full circle via industry rule number 4080. Listeners of this record will become cautious of who they shake hands with. Production duties are handled entirely by Apathy himself, captivating fans on a ride fully orchestrated in his own creative vision while bringing along a handful of carefully selected guest emcees. Having experienced firsthand what it's like to start independently from the dirt, then be entrenched in a major label contract during the peak of hip hop's commercial success, to touring alongside RIAA certified diamond-selling mega rockstars - Apathy's knowledge and wittiness on the subject spills out to be pure audio gold. This project represents those of us not willing to compromise our artistry for fame and money. Listen to Apathy's Handshakes With Snakes album below...
