Philadelphia's Wojavelli drops off his latest mixtape, a Ragga Hip-Hop remix tape entitled, Wojavelli All Stars (I don't know why). Here, all "refixes' are done by Wojavelli and feature tracks from Bounty Killer, Baby Cham, Capleton, Beenie Man, Funkmaster Flex & the Ghetto Celebs, Super Cat, Red Rat, Elephant Man, Vybz Kartel and more. Lots of dope blends/remixes on this one and if you're looking for more, dancehall-inspired tapes, dig in the archives or click through for several other dancehall mixes done by Wojavelli. W0javelli "Just Crack" (Fat Joe Tribute Mix)

Wojavelli returns once again with a Fat Joe tribute mixtape. Just Crack mixes over an hour of early Fat Joe rarities, features, freestyles and blends. As a member of the Diggin' In The Crates crew and Terror Squad, Fat Joe's career has spanned multiple eras and decades, where he's remained consistent with not only quality records, HITS and an ear for outstanding production, but a true presence in -- and behind the scenes -- in the hip-hop community. He's a true legend in the game and while he may not be atop and greatest of all-time conversations, he's had a celebrated career that is the envy of your favorite rappers' favorite rappers. Has he touched a classic tho? Probably not entirely, although he's come very close with Jealous One's Envy and even the slept-on Don Cartagena. Much respect to Joe Crack, dig into the mix below and hit the archives for lots more...

W0javelli "Just Murda" (Mase Tribute Mix)

Props to Wojavelli for another dope tribute tape... this time honoring the career of Harlem World's Mase Murda. The mixtape boasts 50 minutes of early rarities, features, freestyles and exclusive blends. From Children of the Corn to the shiny suit era -- where Bad Boy was on top of the world -- to pastor and back to rapper, Mase has had quite an interesting career. In recent years, you've heard artists like Eminem and Pusha T speak highly of the MC, and if you truly dig into the bars and look at his pen, there's a case to be made he was certainly one of the best lyricists on Bad Boy. Questionable choices aside. The battle with Cam'ron a few years back was interesting too, Mase threw his hat in the ring... and didn't disappoint. Am I wrong? Anyhow, dig into Just Murda below...

W0javelli "Just Rae" (Raekwon Tribute Mix)

Illadelph's Wojavelli is back with another fine mix! Just Rae celebrates roughly an hour of early Raekwon features, rare cuts, freestyles and lots more. The Wu-general of slang rap has an extensive catalog that sometimes goes under-celebrated, but this mix tape digs back for many of those dope cuts that don't make it on other mix tapes, making it an excellent piece to add to your collection. Click through to his Soundcloud or into the archives for additional mixes with Half-A-Mil, 2Pac, Rawcotiks, Herb McGruff, Diehard Records, Kasino, Cardan, The Beatnuts, Alchemist, Da Fat Cat Clique, Akinyele, C-Murder, Eightball, Big Pun and more. Of course, for promotional use only...

Wojavelli "Best of Rawcotiks" (Mixtape)

Rawcotiks is a duo consisting of Dominican MCs from Washington Heights. In the mid-90s-early 2000s, they released a grip of really solid, independent hip-hop by way of 12" releases. This era owes a lot of its props to vinyl shops like Fat Beats and underground radio (props to Stretch & Bobbito). Many know Rawcotiks from the DJ Premier-produced remix to their track "Hardcore Hip-Hop," but their cut "Going All Out" was surely my favorite at the time. If you dig in their catalog and listen to this mixtape, you'll hear joints produced by JuJu, The Mighty V.I.C., DJ Honda, Noodles, No ID, and obviously Premo and the Beatnuts as a collective. Props to Wojavelli for shining light back on these NY cats... there's plenty to appreciate in his mix below + hit the archives for more mixtapes...

Wojavelli "Best of Godfather Don" (Mixtape, 2020)

Godfather Don is a New York City-based hip hop producer and rapper. Ever since his 1991 debut album, "Hazardous", he has been a creative force within New York City's underground hip-hop scene. In the mid-90s he released a host of 12" singles and instrumental pressings through Hydra Entertainment before releasing his sophomore effort, Diabolique, in 1998. You may have also heard him on The Cenombites EP, The Slave of New York EP or The Ill Funk Freaker EP, just to name a few. With blogs in full swing by the last 2000s, the underground kept his name and his music in circulation before labels began unearthing demos and other tracks to reissue. Godfather Don continues to release music and has found quite the niche in recent years. Wojavelli pays tribute to Godfather Don, one of NYC's underground legends and unheralded heroes, with the Best of Godfather Don mixtape. Listen to the mix below, and, of course, dig into the archives for lots more...

W0javelli "The Best Of The Beatnuts" (Mix)

Props to Wojavelli, here's his Best of The Beatnuts mixtape. A continuous mix of The Beatnuts' hits, underground cuts and blends. The production/rapper duo of Psycho Les and Junkyard Juju (+ Al' Tariq & V.I.C. formerly) have brought us some of the best joints over the years, so this mix runs through many of their familiar gems and more slept-on cuts. Dig into it below and peace to Corona, Queens. "We are all about the beat, that's our formula when we produce shit, the beats gotta be hot, it's gotta grab you. 'Cause I'll be the first n!gga to say that we're not the best MCs in the world. It kills me to hear these nice MCs rhyming over fucking garbage." - The Beatnuts. Dig in...
