In June, Flint, Michigan's own Jon Connor released Best In The World: The N Tape, a mixtape that pays homage to hip-hop legend Nas by reinterpreting some of his most iconic tracks. This latest offering stands as the sixth installment in Connor's "Best in the World" series, wherein he showcases his lyrical prowess over beats from renowned artists. In past years I discussed at least two of those projects (The Notorious B.I.G. and Kanye West, for example). Throughout The N Tape, Connor delivers his unique perspective and storytelling abilities over Nas's classic instrumentals like "If I Ruled The World," "We Will Survive," "The World Is Yours" and more. The mixtape features 22 tracks, each offering a fresh take on Nas's timeless beats. This is an ambitious offering, but he delivers and doesn't let Nas down. Jon Connor "A Tribute To The Notorious B.I.G." (Mixtape)
Flint, Michigan's own Jon Connor has released A Tribute To The Notorious B.I.G. Vol 1; a mixtape that pays homage to one of hip-hop's most revered figures, The Notorious B.I.G. This project is part of Connor's "Best in the World" series, where he showcases his versatility by rapping over beats from iconic artists (previously Kanye West). Hosted by DJ Khaled, the mixtape features Connor delivering his own lyrics over classic Biggie instrumentals, such as "Kick In The Door," "Everyday Struggle," and "Respect." Connor injects his personal experiences and storytelling into each track, creating a bridge between his narrative and the themes Biggie once explored. This mixtape not only celebrates the enduring influence of The Notorious B.I.G. but also showcases Jon Connor's respect for hip-hop's rich history and his commitment to contributing to its future. Listen to Connor's fine tribute below...

Jon Connor "Best In The World" (Mixtape)
The latest tape from Jon Connor out of Flint, Michigan is a mixtape called "Best In The World," and it pays tribute to Chi-Town's Kanye West. Featuring 20 tracks, hosted by DJ Drama, Jon Connor goes in over some of Kanye West's finest cuts like "Jesus Walks," "Can't Tell Me Nothing," "Power" and more. His approach transcends simple mimicry; instead, he infuses his personal experiences and perspectives, creating a dialogue between his journey and the themes Kanye West explored in the originals. Having signed to Aftermath recently, it's nice that Jon Connor continues to record and release promotional projects in an effort to build his loyal fanbase. I met him down in Atlanta some years back, perhaps at A3C... cool dude. Anyhow, I look forward to the next in this conceptual mixtape series, but in the meantime, enjoy a real solid mixtape from the People's Rapper below...
