Noveliss "Sword Of Nature" (Album Stream)

In the words of Noveliss, "Sword of Nature is truly a sound that is somewhere left of Hip Hop. Produced entirely by Hir-O with Will Underwood III adding his flute to the mix. There is a story within the project that is an extension of the "Cerebral Apex" story. However, the story is narrated entirely in Japanese and the only way to see the English translation is to get the special edition vinyl." Personally, the production was a bit underwhelming for me on this one, so it left me a little disappointed, but in terms of lyrics and flow, Noveliss remains on point. I'm hoping it'll grow on me.

"Metal Face Hokage" is the latest offering from Noveliss of Clear Soul Forces. The 8 track offering features production from Def Dee out of Seattle, who was - and may still be - down with the Mello Music Group family. MF DOOM is my favorite rapper so this is my DOOM inspired project." Listen...

Clear Soul Forces "Still" (Album Stream)

"Nearly four years and a number of solo projects later, Detroit’s Clear Soul Forces are back with their most impressive release to date. "Still" is what happens when four proven artists continue to hone their craft and find their collective flow. At 11 tracks deep, this album eschews trends and instead provides timeless, straight-up dope Hip-Hop. Speaking on why Still sounds so organic and cohesively produced, group member Noveliss says, “Everyone’s growth has made the creative process easier... Now, we and the world know what’s up, and it’s all about bouncing off each other and being a unit on every song.” That sense of true teamwork and partnership is heard and felt on each track, from the neck-snapping opening track through to album closer that serves up a wild burner-to-banger beat-switch. Still is golden era Boom bap for the modern age, and it’s delivered through a lens that’s wholly unique to CSF. It’s also one of integrity, because there’s no fluff or superficial window dressing here—simply some of the best hip-hop you’ll hear this year." Listen...

Noveliss "Cerebral Apex" (Album Stream)

I'm a big fan of Noveliss of Clear Soul Forces. "Cerebral Apex" is his latest offering, in which he explains: "This album is based off of a Manga book that I'm writing and have been writing for the last 2 years and the album is what I'd consider to be an original soundtrack if this ever got launched into an Anime. Can't thank my artist Aaron Hendrick enough for constantly being able to turn my ideas into something special. Shoutout to all the producers who helped me put this together and shoutout to my fiance Ashley who is the voice doing all the narration of the manga story throughout the album." Stream the Cerebral Apex album below... you will enjoy it, for sure!

Noveliss "Caligraphy" (Tribute to Nujabes)

"I don't want to dance slow in the rain but I fall below the heavens with Blu playing / I'm through saying I'm through slaying these beats to make ends meet / I'm in deep, see / Dreams bought the car but don't pay the fees, the monthlys / I'm checkin' mics word to "3 Thou", you check to check / But if I fail to create and make heads nod, we neck to neck / Nevertheless my poetry's deep I never waiver / Even at a loss for words, I always find them on the paper / In search of myself, I get lost out in the nature, / too used to putting others before me the new danger / Family first, slayin' verses I get over focused / I worked too many hours this week, / which takes away from me releasing these ideas in my head / I get overloaded..."  - Noveliss, "Caligraphy"

Noveliss "Toonami Tsunamis" (EP Stream)

Noveliss of Clear Soul Forces is back with a brand new EP, produced entirely by Scott Xylo. Noveliss says, "I'm a huge Anime fan and if it weren't for Toonami I probably wouldn't be that way. When I was a kid me and my brother used to rush home for Dragon Ball Z and that was my first Anime. Then Gundam, then Cowboy Bebop, Fist of the North Star. Even classic Cartoons like Johnny Quest and Thundercats. Toonami put me on. Now even Naruto, Attack On Titan, One Piece. This is a tribute to some life changing television programing, short and sweet...Toonami Tsunamis." When I read the description, I thought to myself this one might not be for me, but I'm a fan of Noveliss, so I checked it out, and I was not disappointed... at all! You can stream the Toonami Tsunamis EP below...

Clear Soul Forces "Fab Five" (Album Stream)

Detroit’s Ilajide, E-Fav, Noveliss & L.A.Z. (aka Clear Soul Forces) armed with an arsenal of thunderous beats from rising producer NAMELESS combine to form the Fab Five. The group’s vision – combining Golden Era rhymes with a contemporary style – is as clear as ever here, heightened by their collective synergy with Nameless, who handles the majority of the production on the LP, reprising his role as producer to Clear Soul Forces from “Unlimited Bounce”, a highlight off of their last full-length, Gold PP7s. Fab Five ushers in a new era for Detroit’s storied musical tradition – the city that produced Motown, Jay Dee and Eminem has seen a revival of late, with the likes of Black Milk, Danny Brown and Royce Da 5’9” weaving the city’s rich history into their work in increasingly inventive ways. Clear Soul Forces & NAMELESS continue the tradition nodding to the Motor City’s artistic legacy while carving their own path. With production by NAMELESS and raps by the four Detroit emcees, the Fab Five are here to save Hip Hop the only way possible, with quality rhymes over quality beats. Stream the "Fab Five" album from Clear Soul Forces below... Props to Noveliss.
