David Begun "All Eyez On The Hussle" (Mixtape)

Here's the latest remix project from David Begun; it's entitled All Eyez On The Hussle. David Begun shares the following message along with its release, "Nipsey Hussle was dubbed by many people as his generation's 2Pac. From his music and words to his tragic end, he embodied the spirit that Pac had and left behind. This mashup combines Nipsey's powerful lyrics with the music from Pac's catalog. Their combination blends together and it seems almost as if Nipsey's words were destined for the vibe that 2Pac himself rapped over almost two decades ago." Unfortunately, I can't promise this project will remain online, so listen while you can and give me a shout if it gets taken down. Rest In Peace to both 2Pac and Nipsey Hussle, two of the most impactful artists from our culture. It's also Nipsey Hussle's born day today - I don't have a playlist ready, so I hope you'll dig into this...

Nipsey Hussle x DJ Premier "The Premier Hussle" (Mixtape)

Several thousand people showed up to the Staples Center to honor the memory of Nipsey Hussle after his tragic death 1 year ago. He was shot and killed right outside the very clothing store that he owned and operated, but as an artist and community activist, Nipsey Hussle created a legacy that will be felt for generations of people who were inspired by his message of ownership, independence and persistence in the face of adversity. It's important to celebrate those we love while they're here, but it's also important to remember and honor their memory in absence, too. This project by Altered Crates was released 11 months ago, mixing Nipsey Hussle vocals and DJ Premier's beats - you may enjoy it and it'll give a chance to hear his voice in a unique way. R.I.P., Nipsey Hussle.

Rest In Peace, Nipsey Hussle (March 31, 2019)

"We are at a great loss today. This hurts. Straight to the point. It’s dangerous to be an MC. Dangerous to be a b-ball player. It’s dangerous to have money. Dangerous To Be A Black Man. So much hatred. We live like our brothers and sisters in third world countries live. Right in America. Decisions we make about our own life be based on decisions cuz we might not live. Its so deep rooted. It’s not a easy fix. Hard to fix anything when kids are still living in poverty. I ain’t shutting up though, Nipsey is a True voice. He will never be silenced. He still is A stand up General for the People who never left his people. He is Loved by the people. Prayers for his family. Let’s keep pushing Truth for The Man. Love You, King Nipsey Hussle / Ermias Asghedom Respectfully" - Nas // He was an authentic artist; truly forward-thinking, positive and ownership-minded - all of which made him an important voice for this generation. It's a truly sad day. My thoughts are with his loved ones. I know that he's inspired today's youth to be better, do better and that's a legacy. R.I.P.

Nipsey Hussle "Victory Lap" (Album Stream)

This is an incredible album! I don't dig into mainstream projects too often, but Nipsey's business sense and positivity in the community opened me up to his music. How can you not support a kid with talent and a mind like his? Still unsure.... listen to the title track with Stacy Barthe, and you'll be locked in, too. From years of grinding independently, he capitalized on the buzz he generated, and it appears that all the stars have lined up for this near-flawless release of "Victory Lap." Stay on the right side of things, and keep thriving young brother, the respect and legitimacy you've earned is hard-fought and well-deserved. Listen to his official debut, "Victory Lap" down below...
